    South Carolina Public Records Association

    2026 Police Records Management Education Scholarship

    Police Records Management has donated $500 to be awarded to one (1) or more LE Departments throughout the State to provide active Records and Information Management personnel membership and attendance assistance to the South Carolina Public Records Association (SCPRA) and its training initiatives. The application period opens February 2026, and closes Friday, May 29, 2026. Applicants will be notified of their status via email by mid-June of the award year. If selected as an awardee, notification will be emailed directly to the Department in which the awardee is employed. Scholarship recipients will also be formally recognized by the SCPRA. 

    This is a great opportunity for LE Departments’ Records Officers or Administrators to defray the cost of membership and training events of the SCPRA. Follow the link below to complete the application as soon as possible.

    scholarship qualifications/restrictions: 

    Applicants must: 

    1. Not be a current, active member of SCPRA; 
    2. Be actively employed in a LE Records and Information Management role; and 
    3. Be available to participate in Association events. 

    disqualifications: 

    Awardees will be considered disqualified if: 

    1. They are NOT currently serving in a direct LE Records and Information Management role. 
    2. They were awarded assistance and did NOT attend at least three (3) association events during their active award year. Association events include: 
      • Any Region's Luncheon 
      • Any Region's Workshop 
      • Annual Conference 
      • Board or Committee Meeting (if applicable)
